What is the OPDL?

The Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) is Ontario Soccer’s provincial league built on standards and represents the pinnacle of youth soccer in Ontario. It serves as a pathway for youth players from grassroots soccer to high-performance levels by integrating competition with a standards-driven focus on training and player development.

When Does the OPDL Program Run?

The OPDL Program operates year-round, commencing on an October – October basis. Participants in this program engage in four weekly training sessions and play one game per week throughout the season, which spans from May to October.

Who Is The OPDL Program For?

The OPDL is crafted to offer top youth players access to a comprehensive year-round development initiative. Full commitment from players throughout the year is expected. Selection is based on merit, and each OPDL team is composed of a roster of 20 players.

How Can One Join The Program?

The club’s OPDL program holds annual tryouts in September. Those interested
